Use deductive reasoning, or other types of reasoning to figure out what happened  Razz

I'll post more once I see how much people can figure out  Very Happy

BTW, the screenshot was taken on Wabbitemu, which I recently acquired.

Great graphics, nice scrolling text, every thing's good! One question, though:

How the heck is that in BASIC!?!?!?!? Very Happy

Or isn't it... Razz

That was one of the things you were supposed to use deductive reasoning to find out.

Anyway, I know how everything in the screenshot could be done in Basic, but I use xLib to make it smaller (so far, only 1 picture  Very Happy ).

I am having some trouble storing pictures with xLib, however.

I have also come up with a (hopefully) awesome method to do the 3D part of the game, with xLib.  The game engine will have 2 "modes;"  inside and outside.  Inside, it uses the mazish type generation (though probably only 2 or 3 tiles ahead for speed) and outside, it pieces together different types of terrain based on where you are and then pastes people, trees, etc over the terrain.

I have changed some of the people slightly (moved the pockets up on the Scout's vest and changed the Scoundrel's crotch and modified the soldiers hair) and added choosing Name, Attributes, and skills.  I will post another screenshot once I get all of the character generation done and I finish the equip menu (with item sprites).

Should I darken the Scoundrel's vest?

calc84maniac helped me to slightly optimize the menus; now I have finished all of the character generation, other than feats, which I will need to find a way to get the sprites for the feats.  The list of all the quest names is roughly 1600 bytes, and I have started building the quests section.

In addition, I have started building the graphics for the ship, though I may have to redo most of them (now that I have started the engine, they may not work as I would like them to).

I have started drawing the sprites for the feats, and they look good so far.  However, I will need to find a way to get their pictures because the manual doesn't include pictures on all of them.

The graphics for the first ship have been updated, but still are not complete.

Can't you run the game, and take screenshots of the feats menu thingy?

You should use sprites similar to those in Yoda Stories

These look fairly interesting.  The only problem is that those sprites are from a top-down 2D style perspective instead of a 3D perspective.  I can still probably use a lot of them, though...
